Moms Association
Humanitarian Award
Two awards are presented: one to an undergraduate and one to a graduate/professional student. A successful applicant has performed outstanding and innovative service within the local community. Each award includes a $500 award for the recipient and a $500 grant to an organization of the recipient's choice.
Medallion of Honor
The Moms Association invites you to submit nominations, limited to women of current or past affiliation with the University of Illinois who, through example and/or service, have used their talents to enrich the lives of others. This is an opportunity to congratulate a talented woman in your department or bring the achievements of one of your graduates to the attention of a wide and varied audience.
Illini Spirit Award
The Moms Association at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign is soliciting a request for funding proposals to be awarded in the Spring 2023 for their Illini Spirit Award. The Moms Association is looking for proposals that promote the growth and development of the students at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. The recipient will receive a monetary donation of $2,000 to be used to support the event and/or program submitted in the proposal.
Proposals should include the following:
Name of the project, program, event, or organization nominated to receive the award. Description of the project, program, event, or organization and how it promotes the growth and development of the students at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Budget proposal that includes funding from all sources and unmet financial need - please compile in a listed format rather than narrative format.
Moms Association Centennial Scholarship
The Moms Association will award a merit scholarship in the amount of $1,000. To be eligible, the student must be an enrolled full-time student at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and have successfully completed at least 24 college credit hours. Scholarships are awarded based on campus involvement, campus honors and awards and their potential to positively impact the University of Illinois. This award is determined on a competitive basis and requires the submission of an application form.
Mom of the Year
Show your Mom how much you love her on Moms Weekend! The Moms Association will be accepting nominations for the 2023 Mom of the Year.
Dads Association
The Dads Association at the University of Illinois is organized exclusively for charitable, educational and social purposes, specifically to provide support to its members and to students at the University of Illinois Urbana Champaign.
As part of that support, The Dads Association awards approximately $20,000 per year in student scholarships and grants to student organizations.
Grants
The Dads Association awards grants in the amount of $500-$2,000 to worthy projects or organizations that provide academic, social, personal, and/or professional assistance to students attending the University of Illinois Urbana Champaign.
Scholarships
The Dads Association annually awards several scholarships in the amount of $2,000 to students who show both merit and need. Scholarships are paid in January and credited to the Spring semester of that year.
